Veterinary assistant’s job is to help veterinarian with various manipulations. They will communicate with clients and ensure smooth operation of a veterinary practice by participating productively in teamwork. Their main tasks include conducting diagnostic procedures on animals, animal care, and conducting treatment procedures under the guidance of a veterinarian.
The programme is in a flexible study format (study cycles at school twice a month, taking place on four consecutive days, supplemented by independent study between cycles). Flexible study format is only available for individuals with previous experience in the field or in animal rearing.
The programme takes place at Särevere campus. Workplace training is conducted in the school farm and educational stables, as well as veterinary practices for small domestic animals and shelters.
You must submit a letter of motivation and the description of your work experience along with acceptance documents.

Study cycles take place at Särevere campus pursuant to the curriculum for veterinary assistants, level 4.
Curriculum is based on professional standard for veterinary assistant, level 4, and veterinary assistant national curriculum.
