Erasmus+ 2019

“Europe-wide Skills” – to be approved – planned as follows:
When and where: 01.08.2019-30.09.2020.
Poland, Hungary, Sweden, Germany, Cyprus, Belgium, England and Turkey
Target group:  Students,  teachers, including teachers abroad

The Aim: 15 students to do their work placement abroad and 14 employees to gain work experience – horse care management teachers is to learn from the specialists about the equine sport and using the harnesses, cooking teachers will learn about local traditions, cuisine and working methods in different countries, construction teachers will learn about Mediterranean construction and regional specific work practices. Also, the aim is to send two teachers to Germany for a teaching assignment. The head teacher of general subjects will get knowledge of various teachers assessment and feedback methods, and how to develop cooperation between teachers. Car technician will find collaborative partners to modernize teaching equipment for practical work at JKHK.

Erasmus+ 2018-19

“Practice Makes Perfect”
When and where: 01.08.2018-31.08.2019.
Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Belgium and Cyprus.
Target group:  Students,  teachers and a guest teacher from Italy.

The aim: 25 students were involved in the work placement mobilities in Poland, Hungary, Italy, Sweden, Germany and Cyprus. 19 employees gained work experience (job shadowing) in Germany, Italy, Cyprus, Hungary, Lithuania and Belgium. The purpose of involving support staff and general education teachers was to gain direct experience regarding different methodologies and tools that are in use in other European countries in order to cope with students with special (educational) needs (inclusive education). Teachers (house economics and cooks) learned about local traditions, customs, cuisine and working methods in hotel service in different countries in order to be able to teach our students all about it and make changes to our respective curriculas. The aim of involving an adult education specialist was to improve the quality of continuing education and retraining and to offer courses that are not yet available in vocational schools in Estonia. The involvement of trade, logistics teachers was necessary to continue the development of apprenticeship and logistics digital solutions,  which was started last school year (Erasmus+ 2017 project), involving a variety of methods and ICT tools that allow students to solve vital problems and challenges. Furthermore, an IT-specialist from Italy was invited to JKHK to teach our ICT students.

“Competence through experience”
When and where:  01.09.2017-31.08.2018,
Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, Germany and England.
Target group:  Students and teachers

The aim:  23 students were involved in work placements in Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Sweden, Germany and Italy. Students involved were studying one of these specialties: cleaning services, household economy, cooks, cook’s helper, building and road construction, IT specialist, customer service assistant for logistics’ companies, agricultural producer, equine management and veterinary assistance. Staff mobility included 14 staff members (the management, head teachers and professional teachers). The aim of staff mobility was to introduce different teaching methodologies and tools, also to widen their knowledge so that it would lead to appropriate changes in our respective curricula. We hope that it would help teachers to generate new ideas on how to integrate different subjects in order to improve the teaching quality, so that the learner would be more motivated to learn, and that the knowledge would help them in the future life. The involvement of different methods and ICT tools help to teach how to solve vital problems and face challenges, and as a results of this, students are more enterprising, more willing to generate ideas and look for new solutions, able to set goals and achieve them, and are more responsible.

“Global Skills with Erasmus +”
When and where:  01.06.2016-31.08.2017,
Target group:  Students and teachers

The aim:  Sent 25 students to this study trip and six teachers to supplement their experiences. We offered internships to students to Poland, Hungary and the Czech Republic.  A total of six JKHK teachers visited schools and companies in Denmark and Iceland in order to learn more about computer science and digitalisation, entrepreneurship, cooperation with businesses and  classroom methods.

The Best Practices and Experiences from Europe vol 2”
When and where: 01.06.2015-31.05.2017, Poland, Hungary and Spain
Target group:  Students

The aim: 20 students completed their work placement in one of the three countries – Poland, Hungary or Spain. Students involved were studying one of these specialities: car technician, cleaning services, household economy, building and road construction, IT specialist, customer service assistant for logistics companies, business administration, equine management and veterinary assistants.

When and where:  01.09.2014-31.08.2015, Poland, Netherlands, Hungary and Finland.
Target group:  Students and teachers

The aim: 17 students completed their work placement in one of the three countries- Poland, Hungary or Finland. Students involved were studying one of these specialities: car technician, household economy, building and road construction, IT-specialist, customer service assistant for logistics companies, business administration, warehouse manager or agriculture. Staff mobility in Netherlands included four staff members from the agriculture department.
