Programme requirements: Acquired basic education; however, the programme is also open for persons without basic education who are at least 22 years old and have the level of competency corresponding to basic education.
Duration of programme: 3 years

Skills and knowledge you will acquire:

  • Career planning and business basics
  • Resurfacing
  • Plastering
  • Fitting composite systems of thermal insulation
  • Fitting plasterboard
  • Painting
  • Fitting rolled materials on walls
  • Decorative finish

Electives include the following modules:

  • Interior hydroinsulation
  • Tiling
  • Tiling for walls and floors in various shapes
  • Fitting PVC and textile flooring
  • Professional Russian
  • Physical education
  • National defence
  • Traffic
  • Students can also select other modules from other curriculums of the school

In the practical part of studies, we use the newest building materials, courtesy of the manufacturers of construction materials with whom we have a great relationship.

Workplace training:

  • During years II and III, altogether 1040 hours.

Qualifications after graduating:

  • Plasterer, level 4, initial occupational qualification
  • Painter, level 4, initial occupational qualification
  • If a student takes the following elective modules – interior hydroinsulation, tiling, tiling of walls and floors in various shapes – they will also acquire the initial occupational qualification of a tiler, level 4.

Construction finishers work in construction or property maintenance companies or as private contractors in construction finishing. In addition, a graduate can work as a sales assistant in shops that specialise in construction materials. Career options include supervisor, inspector or instructor of finishing. A construction finisher applies various finishes – plaster, paint, tiles, flooring, damp or water insulation.
